Sunday 18th September started off sunny with a gentle breeze. Later on heavy showers could be seen in the distance but for the most part the sun shone for the Helicopter Fly-In. An RAF Merlin helicopter did a flypast but I arrived after that but in time to see a Bell 47 and the new Robinson R66. A collection was made for the Yorkshire Air ambulance that raised over £700 for this worthy cause.

Fly/Drive-in held at Breighton Airfield over the weekend of 23/24th July 2011

At home June 12th started with a clear blue sky and little wind raising hope that after the last two events at Breighton had suffered from the weather it would be 3rd time lucky. It was not to be. By the time we arrived at Breighton the clouds had arrived and a tricky crosswind was blowing the windsock. Sadly this resulted in few visiting aircraft. Four of the Breighton based aircraft were flown in formation and the end of their flight coincided with the rain arriving.

Easter Sunday saw a good turnout at Breighton. The airfield seemed to be just on the edge of some good weather and suffered from cloud/hazy sunshine for most of the day but at least the winds was light.

Sunday 22nd August ended up being a very busy Fly-in at Breighton. Blue sky with a few white clouds encouraged plenty of pilots to visit - sadly the bacon sandwiches ran out before I could get mine! This was Breighton at it's best with lots of flying and also a visit by a group of SAAB owners (the wheeled variety not the jet powered ones). Everybody seemed to have a great day.

The Large Model association airshow was held over the weekend of 14th and 15th of August 2010. Saturday was a bit gusty but on Sunday there was not as much wind and plenty of sunshine. Highlights included the ever popular Comet airliner and Victor bomber. These photos were taken on the Sunday.
