Breighton Airshow July 15/16th 2006
Clear blue skies and soaring temperatures set the scene for a perfect airshow weekend. A packed program of displays including the first one at Breighton for the Buchon meant that the bumper crowds on both days had a fun filled time.

Breighton Early Bird Fly-in 13th April 2014
The first fly-in of 2014 at Breighton for the Real Aeroplane Club was on Sunday 13th April. A gusty wind threatened to spoil the fun but thankfully blew down the runway avoiding a crosswind. Over 50 aircraft visited and the sun shone making it a great start to the year.

Highlight for Album: Breighton Auster Fly-In & 'At Home Day' - Sunday 8th June 2008
Breighton Auster Fly-In & 'At Home Day' - Sunday 8th June 2008
A beautiful blue sky and light breeze meant that the Auster fly-in at Breighton was very popular with many visiting aircraft. A handful of Austers and large number of other types ensured that there was always something flying.

Highlight for Album: Yorkshire Airshow 2007
Yorkshire Airshow 2007
Held on the weekend of August 18/19th the Yorkshire Airshow 2007 at Elvington had the theme "Mighty Thunder". The original plan had been to have the Avro Vulcan as star of the show but as the team at the "Vulcan to the Sky" project had encountered delays this was not to be. Alternative plans were to have a display of 4 Hawker Hunters but the weather stepped in and only two made it although they were a magnificent sight in the sky. Low cloud base - overcast skies and rain (much worse in other parts of the country) meant that some expected aircraft could not fly up to Elvington and the flying programme was therefore reduced. Due to the efforts of the pilots though it was a good display. The Beech 18 that had accompanied the Hunters was put into a display slot and the pilot gave a fine display. The BBMF display of two spitfires and the dakota was cancelled but the O/C of the flight flew up in a Spitfire and gave a superb display. The RAF Falcons had to deal with poor conditions and a strong gust of window made them delay their drop by a few minutes but still they managed to open the flying part of the show. As rain moved in near the end of the day's flying a locally based RAF Tucano gave a very impressive display and then the Red Arrows put on a terrific low level display. The day could have so easily been a washout but due to the efforts of the display pilots it was a triumph over dreadful conditions.

Breighton Aeronautical Pageant August 3rd 2008
Held over the weekend on the 2/3rd of August 2008 the Aeronautical Pageant at Breighton did not attract many flying visitors due to bad weather in other parts of the country. Locally there was a mixture of showers and sunny spells with the weather slowly improving on Sunday afternoon. Highlights included a close formation flypast of the Magister, Arrow Active and Jungmeister and a visit by a former Yugoslavian Air Force Soko P-2 Kraguj.

Breighton Fly-in 2nd August 2009
The all-comers Fly-in and RAC 'At Home' Day held on Sunday August 2nd 2009 brought much welcome sunshine after heavy rain on the Saturday. Visitors to Breighton were few but the resident aircraft that were flown made the day enjoyable.
